I Choose You!

It was so much fun to watch these Eared Grebes. There were 3 grebes, 2 males, and a female. They chased each other around for quite a while. When the "dust" finally settled, this was the matching pair. It appears that they like each other.

Crane Conversation

Each spring the Sandhill Cranes make a stop in Colorado's San Luis Valley as they migrate from their southern winter feeding grounds to their nesting grounds. The cranes have such character. Their interaction is so much fun to watch. I just love how these two cranes are having a "conversation" while most of the other birds surrounding them are heads down and eating. Kingfisher Flight

"I feel the need.... the need for speed!" The Kingfisher is a fast bird. It is so much fun to watch them fish! And it is so hard to photograph them. This was shot at 1/2000 second and I still got some motion blur in the wings! Sometimes that blur can help tell the story of how fast they are really going. I think the disturbance on the water in front of her is caused by the air movement from her wings. Pretty cool little bird!

Teton Grizzly

I waited patiently for this grizzly to wake up from his afternoon nap. It was definitely worth it! After his nap he cooled off in a small stream close by and then came up to enjoy the wildflowers nearby. A metal print would really highlight the textures and water in the bear. I waited 3 hours for this male grizzly bear to wake up from an afternoon nap. This large bear grazed and walked through a vast meadow of wildflowers in the early evening light. He was amazing to watch, and I'm so glad to share him with you. Original Dimensions 16 x 24
